Metal Roof Repair

Causes

When it comes to the cause of metal roof repairs, there are several to keep an eye out for. These include loose panels, leaking panels, holes in the metal, poorly fitting flashing, ill-fitting panels, weather damage, or rust/deterioration.

One way to repair a metal roof is by removing the entire damaged metal panel and replacing it. Another way is to patch where the damage occurred. Whether you replace the metal panel or use a patch, a sealant or roof cement is used to secure the repair.

The type of repair needed will be determined when the free inspection is conducted. Be sure to reach out for a inspection as soon as you see or suspect something may be damaged. Some damage is hard to see, so to ensure your roof is in the best condition to rival all the elements, we suggest getting an inspection at least once a year.

How We Repair

Shingle Roof Repair

Causes

Shingle roof repair may be necessary when the shingles are curled/warped, broken, or missing. These damages can be caused by rough weather, old age, or poor installation. With a shingle roof repair, the damage will be in one location rather than scattered across the entirety of the roof.

Shingle repairs start off with assessing the damaged shingles, or locating where there are missing shingles. We then make sure there is no further damage ither than the shingle damage. Once that assessment is made, we will determine if the old shingles can be saved, or if new shingles will need to be installed. If new shingles need to be installed, they will be nailed into place and then sealed with roof cement. If the old shingles are able to be saved, roof cement and nails will be used to keep them in the correct position and seal them. Wherever a nail is needed will also be sealed to ensure there is no chance of leakage.
